Mira Awad is a singer, songwriter, and actress from Rama in the Galilee. Mira is a multidisciplinary international performer. As a composer, Mira has developed a unique fusion of sounds, combining the East and the West, weaving the Arabic language and its oriental ornaments with Western harmonies. Mira identifies with the agenda of dialogue of co-existence, and is a relentless peace activist who believes in anti-violence activity to build bridges towards resolutions.
Sameh “SAZ” Zakout is a native of Ramle, a predominantly Palestinian city in Israel. SAZ uses rap music to deliver a message of unity and love between people. He sees his music as a powerful tool for building bridges between people and fighting ignorance and apathy throughout the world. SAZ believes music is his weapon for making a difference and giving pride and hope to everyone.
Sun Tailor (Arnon Naor) is a Jaffa-based singer-songwriter and producer. After releasing his first album in 2012, Sun Tailor has become one of the leading figures in the growing Israeli folk scene, with both albums receiving major praise from indie and mainstream media. With his personal take on the one man show, Sun Tailor blends guitar, mandolin, percussion, and live looping, creating a huge atmospheric sound, often sounding like a full band.
American Seed Micah is the Founder and Co-Director of the YMCA Jerusalem Youth Chorus which brings Israeli and Palestinian youth together to create a powerful singing community based on equality, respect, mutual understanding, and love. The chorus’ message has inspired millions and their influence is changing the discourse about the kind of place Jerusalem could be. In 2017, Micah was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Music List for his work in conflict transformation.
Ami Yares is a 12-string guitar wielding, world traveling folk musician, teacher, and peacebuilder. Described as a cross between “Randy Newman and David Broza (AXS),” Ami’s music merges his Jersey roots with the sounds of his Middle Eastern branches. Ami is also the executive director of BuildaBridge International, an organization which utilizes the transformative power of the arts to create healing, hope, and change.
